10 Players I LOVE but CAN'T DRAFT

ADP matters more than player affinity

I was driving home from dropping my daughter off at soccer camp as she prepares to be the starting center back for her high school team 😬, and I turned the station to SiriusXM Fantasy’s Rosterwatch Show. Cody and Alex were talking about how aggressively they have been drafting Emeka Egbuka and how he is poised for a JSN-level breakout. I wanted to get to that place with Egbuka, but one name kept me from going there… Chris Godwin.

Egbuka has a similar profile to JSN and went to Ohio State, but his situation is very different than JSN who had no target competition in 2025, including out of the backfield. Egbuka’s best ball ADP is currently 36, Godwin’s is 87. With Gainwell commanding targets out of the backfield, McMillan healthy and Hurst playing some X, I have to admit that Godwin is the smash here at cost as much as I LOVE Emeka Egbuka.

With that in mind, here are my Top-10 players who I LOVE but simply cannot draft at cost.

1. Emeka Egbuka

Egbuka failed to eclipse 10 fantasy points in any game in the second half of 2025 (Mike Evans was injured in Week 7). He is now is facing an influx of target competition after posting 1500+ air yards in 2025.

In previous seasons, I would have been all-in on Egbuka. A wiser Podfather has to acknowledge that Egbuka is a year away from achieving superstar status, but dynasty drafters should not be shy about gobbling up as much Egbuka as possible.

2. Nico Collins | Jayden Higgins | Jaylin Noel

Listen to teams when they tell you what they are. Houston signed David Montgomery to be a run-first, defensive-focused team. The pass attempts will decline in 2026, and it will be impossible for Collins/Higgins/Noel to deliver at their respective ADPs.

The only member of this Texans passing game that I am interested in at cost is Tank Dell, and it’s tepid enthusiasm.
