Cracking Green Bay's Backfield
Making the best out of bad news
Josh Jacobs was arrested for domestic battery this week and was released without charges being filed, which has been all-too-common in domestic abuse cases involving NFL players. Jacobs insists he is innocent, and while he could end up on the Commissioner’s Exempt List at some point, the league has generally erred on the side of letting the legal process pl
ay out.
Regardless, the backfield in Green Bay is suddenly much more volatile, and the lack of depth is apparent. Here is how I would prioritize acquiring Packers running backs in dynasty as well as four upside RBs that could find their way to Green Bay:
1. Marshawn Lloyd
Size/speed specimen who can lock up the RB2 role just by proving healthy in training camp.
Lloyd underperformed his athleticism in college, so do NOT overpay in dynasty FAAB bidding.
