The long-held notion of shying away from acquiring the “elder statesmen” of the NFL began in dynasty leagues and still often rears its ugly head there. However, as managers continue to branch into multiple formats, so too does the unjust discrimination of older players.
In fact, it should be the opposite. NFL veterans have some of the most reliable floors and still provide ample “boom” opportunity.
