QUARTERBACK
NO PTSD: Justin Herbert
Don’t be shy about starting Justin Herbert vs. Las Vegas. No game script concerns here. The Raiders’ defense shreddable, and this is the ultimate “get right” matchup for one of the NFL’s most talented throwers of footballs.
Value Pick: Jordan Love
Geno Smith is in DGAF mode, and the Packers can’t run block, which will drive up the pass volume in New York this week. This game is all about Jordan Love, the Air Yards King (469 air yards in Week 1), as he will exploit the Jets in ways Cam Ward could not in Week 1.
Desperation Stream: Drew Lock
Lock as competent against an improved Patriots defense. Assuming the Cardinals Week 1 performance was a blip, not a trend, Lock is a viable superflex streamer this week.
RUNNING BACK
Good Chalk: Aaron Jones
As long as Aaron Jones is healthy, Aaron Jones is Aaron Jones, and Aaron Jones is a dynamic playmaker. I’m excited to see Demond Claiborne in action just like so many of you, but this week is all about playing your Vikings from Justin Jefferson on down.
Sneaky Play: JK Dobbins
JK Dobbins captured a huge rush share in Week 1 even as Denver could not generate any offense. This game is at home and Dobbins is the most under-the-radar bell cow on the board.
