Week 6 is very polarizing. Lean into the shootouts: BUF-LV, DAL-GB, WAS-SF, ARI-LAR, CHI-ATL and get away from turds like Panthers at Eagles and Texans at Jaguars.
QUARTERBACK
Sneaky Upside: Kirk Cousins
Cousins has quietly delivered the passing volume we want: 35 attempts and 254.2 passing yards per game, with 12 touchdowns through five games. PlayerProfiler credits him with a 103.6 Passing Explosive Play Rating, featuring 17 explosive downfield plays. His 6.9% touchdown rate is not sustainable, but 24.0 may be the most implied points Cousins will enjoy for the rest of his career.
Very Streamable: Jameis Winston
Winston’s appeal starts with 133 attempts in four appearances, giving him 33.3 attempts per game and enough opportunity to stumble into a useful fantasy afternoon. The gunslinger reputation does not automatically translate into efficient downfield production. He is a reasonable streamer based on passing volume and touchdown variance, with a notoriously shaky floor.
Desperation Stream: Daniel Jones
The volume gives Jones a chance: 176 attempts through five games, or 35.2 per week. The bull’s case rests on converting a respectable passing workload into touchdowns against a spunky TEN defense. Hope for JT to get thwarted and chase those 25 implied points this week.
RUNNING BACK
Lock Button: Ashton Jeanty
Jeanty was a popular pick at the 1-2 turn and his receiving workload is doing the heavy lifting: 22 catches for 215 yards through five games. He is averaging 22 touches and 4.4 receptions per game, a workload that gives him multiple ways to pay off. PlayerProfiler’s split is revealing: a 110.0 Receiving Explosive Play Rating, No. 9 among qualified running backs. The 3.3 yards per carry is disappointing, but a home game vs. the Bills is the great antidote for rushing efficiency.
Bell Cow Time: Rhamondre Stevenson
The workload runway is opening with TreVeyon Henderson expected to miss multiple weeks, though Henderson has yet to be ruled out. Stevenson already has 57 carries and 15 receptions through five games, and his receiving involvement gives an expanded role more value than a simple increase in early-down carries. Stevenson has 20-plus missed tackles forced this season, putting him alongside Jahmyr Gibbs and Jaylen Warren. Getting the Jets at home with Henderson likely OUT is absolute best case scenario.
