Tua Tagovailoa to the Falcons
The Atlanta Falcons have signed former Dolphins QB Tua Tagovailoa to a 1-year $1.3 Million contract. After just releasing Kirk Cousins the Falcons are now paying over $50 Million to quarter backs and still are not likely to have their starting QB on the roster for the 2027 season. That being said, Tagovailoa’s ability to hit the middle of the field on quick play action passes is exactly the type of offense that new Head Coach Kevin Stefanski likes to run. Falcons running back Bijan Robinson may be the biggest fantasy winner though as Tagovailoa led the league in 2025 running back check down rate.
Alec Pierce Breaks the Market
On Wednesday, Colts WR Alec Pierce signed a 4 year $114 Million contract. This makes Pierce the 11th highest paid WR in the NFL by average annual value. While Pierce’s exact contract details are yet to be released, we can take a look at Bengals WR Tee Higgins for expectations. Pierce’s contract will most likely be backloaded as much as possible so the team can also afford Daniel Jones new contract.
