David Montgomery Declines Surgery for MCL Injury

The Lions star running back David Montgomery has decided to temporarily forgo surgery after meeting with several experts the past few days. Montgomery hopes that by forgoing surgery and an extensive rehab process, he can return to the team late in the playoffs. He just has to hope that his running back teammates Jahmyr Gibbs, Sione Vaki, and Craig Reynolds can hold down the fort in the meantime.

Patrick Mahomes Expected to Play

After exiting the game early on Sunday against the Browns, Patrick Mahomes is anticipated to play on Saturday versus Texans. Mahomes has been dealing with an ankle injury, which has kept him on the injury report this week. However, the Chiefs' training staff believes he will be sufficiently healthy to start the game. This development is massive for the Chiefs, as they will also be adding Marquise Brown to the offense who has been on IR since before the season began.
