Chase Roberts Set to Wow at Shrine Bowl
BYU Wide Receiver Chase Roberts will look to dominate as a large red zone target in the 2026 Shrine Bowl. Brigham Young University wide receiver Chase Roberts is 6’4″ tall and 210 pounds. He is one of the oldest prospects due to his Mission work in high school, he did not start college until he was 20 years old. He chose BYU over Stanford and USC because his father played at BYU in the 90s. Roberts broke out as a redshirt junior hauling in 52 receptions for 854 receiving yards and 4 touchdowns, leading the team in every category. His senior year posted similar numbers with 54 catches for 802 receiving yards and 6 touchdowns.
Roberts is an excellent route runner while utilizing his large frame to fight for the ball. He is adept at adjusting his routes based on the coverage of the defense to help his quarterback to target him. He can create another throwing lane by leaping over defenders to bring in the ball.
Roberts is currently ranked as number 180 on the PFF Draft Board. This puts Roberts as a day 3 pick in the sixth round of the NFL Draft. He has the chance to impress draft scouts at the Shine Bowl to improve his draft stock.

Stefanski Loves Michael Penix
Falcons new head coach Kevin Stefanski has expressed excitement for quarterback Michael Penix. When Michael Penix suffered a partially torn left ACL in Week 11, it cast an ominous cloud over his future. Backup Kirk Cousins took over and the Falcons just missed the playoffs in a 3-way tie in the NFC South where the Panthers held the tie breaker.
New Falcons Head Coach Kevin Stefanski recently spoke to his excitement for Penix heading into 2026. Stefanski spoke highly of his rehab process and talked about things on tape that he excels, such as layering his throws and pushing the ball to different areas of the field.
Stefanski was a little bit more cool on Kirk Cousins acknowledging their existing relationship, but stopping shy of a ringing endorsement. From a dynasty perspective, Penix returning would be excellent for wide receiver Drake London. Just prior to Penix’s injury, London had 3 WR1 overall weeks in the span of 4 games.
