Aidan O’Connell Emerges as Raiders' Top QB So Far
Although Gardner Minshew was originally signed as the starting quarterback, second-year player Aidan O’Connell is emerging as the front-runner in early practices. Selected in the 4th round of the 2023 draft, O’Connell has already played in 11 games for the Raiders, averaging 12.1 points per game. Fantasy owners of Davante Adams should be pleased with either quarterback; Adams averaged over 16 PPR points per game in 2023 with O’Connell, while Minshew was a reliable fantasy asset for Colts receivers. Despite the competition, it's still expected that Minshew will secure the starting position by Week 1.
