3. Week 9 Plays of the Week:
This is a week of big road favorites, which means more potential shootouts and QB-WR fantasy points.
🚀 Confidence Play: Malik Willis (vs DET)
Willis has thrown two touchdowns in consecutive games and averages 33 rushing yards per start. Detroit has allowed 259 passing yards and 2.3 passing touchdowns per game over the last four weeks. Passing matchup plus rushing upside is the best path for a streamer to sneak into the QB1 zone.
💪 Rookie Breakout: Jonah Coleman (at CAR)
Coleman just delivered 104 total yards on 15 touches while playing 67.9% of Denver’s snaps. More encouraging: a 50% route participation rate. Carolina has allowed the fourth-highest missed tackle rate over its last five games. The role is expanding, and the matchup rewards the skill set. Keep pressing Coleman into lineups, even in shallow leagues.
😬 Make-Or-Break Play: Jaylen Waddle (at CAR)
The route share was down last week, but Waddle approached 15 PPR points against Kansas City regardless. Now he gets a Carolina defense that has allowed three receivers to exceed 17 points over its last two games. If Sean Payton calls more Waddle-focused personnel packages, which makes even more sense with RJ Harvey OUT, this game has real spike week potential for Waddle. If he duds out, Waddle will be droppable in shallow leagues.
📈 Sneaky Stream: Greg Dulcich (vs DET)
Dulcich has caught at least four passes on five-plus targets in four of his last five games. Detroit allows the most fantasy points per game to tight ends. Last week’s matchup argument belonged to Hockenson, and this week, Dulcich gets the invitation. Accept it and PLAY. THIS. MAN.
That’s four, and The Podfather isn’t done yet. His full list of plays, including subscriber-only picks, is waiting inside. Get them locked in before you set your Week 9 lineup.

This Start & Sits Week 9 Edition brings a handful of those decisions. A quarterback who gets to play from behind, a Denver back who’s about to have his moment, and a Browns tight end who just wrecked the league are all in the mix — along with a few names I’d leave on your bench no matter how tempting the matchup looks.
